Kent Schools Cross Country Championships

Entries

Entry for this event is by a district competition or nomination by your school to the district co-ordinator. District co-ordinators are responsible for selection decisions and submitting entries. All schools must be affiliated through their district to KSAA. District co-ordinators must have entered their eligible athletes by Wednesday 29th November 2023 The names of all entered athletes will appear on the KSAA website from Wednesday 6th - Friday 15th December 2023. Districts may make adjustments to their team lists during this time. Entries close after this date. All athletes should check their entry and if there is an issue, must contact their school P.E department in the first instance. It is expected that eligible athletes will be proactive in ensuring they have been entered by the stated deadline. No new entries will be allowed on the day of competition. If in doubt about your entry, please check with your district co-ordinator before travelling.

Parking and Registration

There is no parking available within the park or in nearby roads which are for permit holders only and regularly patrolled. Please use public car parks. There are a number of these located nearby including the shopping centres. Our HQ and registration area is close to the course this year and the nearest car park is the Acacia, DA11DJ although available spaces are significantly less this year. Please allow sufficient time to park and register. Recommended arrival at least an hour before your race time.

Athlete Entry Fee

To help towards the cost of the event, there will be a charge of £5 which will be collected on the day of competition. Card or cash.

Race Times

Year 7 Girls - 11.30am, Year 7 Boys - 11.50am, Inter/Senior Girls - 12.10pm, Senior Boys - 12.35pm, Inter Boys - 13.10pm, Junior Girls - 13.40pm, Junior Boys - 14.05pm.

Photography

Any photographs taken at KSAA organised events are for personal use only and with the permission of the parent/carer of the competitor. There may also be local media/professional photographers at the event.

The above guidance about photography also applies to events not organised by KSAA, but where individuals or teams are representing KSAA.

Cancellation of Event

If this becomes necessary, all district co-ordinators will be informed and a notice will be put on the website by Thursday 18th January 2024. There is no reserve date available this year.
