Race Walking Event Details
Important Information:
KSAA Championships
The KSAA Championships at Norman Park on Saturday 13th June 2026 WILL NOT include Race Walks this year, due to additional events being added to the timetable to accommodate the new EA hurdles specifications.
The Race Walks Championships will now be held at Medway Park on Saturday 20th June as part of the Cunliffe Cup Schools’ Inter Counties.
Kent Championship medals will be presented to the first three Kent athletes in:
U15 Juniors (Y8/9) 2000m
U17 Intermediates (Y10/11) 3000m
U19 Seniors (U12/13) 3000m
These Race Walk races will also be open to athletes from outside of Kent and athletes from outside of the counties represented in the Inter-Counties event.

ESAA Championships
The ESAA Race Walk Championships take place within the Combined Event Championships on the 3rd full weekend of September (on the Saturday of said weekend). The Kent Team is selected from nominated walkers and there is no qualification event, although opportunities to race include the KSAA Champs in June, the KYAL, and various Open Meetings and Championships.
