ESAA XC Championships Information and Selection Criteria
The English Schools Cross Country Championships 2025 will take place in March next year at the South of England Showground, Ardingly, East Sussex.
Kent Schools AA will take a team of 48 athletes to the championships. The selection criteria for the ESAA Championships can be found below.
NB: Year 7s cannot compete at the ESAA Champs
Selection Criteria
Eight Athletes complete a Team in each age group: Junior, Intermediate & Senior.
The Selectors will follow the criteria below:
1. The First four athletes to finish in the Kent Schools Cross Country Championships will gain automatic selection for the team to represent Kent Schools AA at the English Schools Cross Country Championships.
2. The top two finishers at the Inter-County event, not already selected, will also be chosen.
3. The final two places will be allocated at the discretion of the KSAA Selection Committee based upon a wider range of events, chosen at the discretion of the Committee.
4. All selected athletes will travel and remain with the team during the Championships.
